Who am I? I'm a carioca!
Yep, that's me... you're probably wondering what I'm doing, and how I ended up here!
My name is Murillo, and I’m the creator of the Rio Bar Food Tour. I’m passionate about Rio de Janeiro, food, football (the one where they actually use their foot) and connecting with new people. When I'm not going crazy at Maracanã, I'm with my wife and two cats, or going out trying out new bars and food.
My mission is for everyone to enjoy and experience the Rio I know and love. And I think one of the best ways to do this is through food - our local and unique cuisine, not easily found by a non-local - and makes you experience Rio in an entirely different way. In a well-thought-out selection where the options are not too heavy or too fried.
Visiting the main attractions in Rio, like the Sugarloaf and the Christ the Redeemer, is mandatory. But, so is drinking a cold beer, a caipirinha or a 'batida de coco' which is a coconut drink from heaven - my brother's favourite drink in the world.
